live this is abc 7 news. >> police are looking for a san francisco girl missing in lake county and have a new lead this morning and a possible break in the case. the 9-year-old child was last seen sunday. >> new surveillance video has surfaced showing her after she was last seen. the girl is severely autistic,

c cannot talk and needs medication. >> reporter: officials figured out that a homeowner on the block of the family had a camera. they tracked that homeowner down to san francisco, had that person come up here to clear lake. they looked at the video and they saw mikala walking down the street. the lead has reinvigorated the search. >> that video showed the little girl running up the street. it is a sense of new hope that we kind of eliminated that the little girl went directly across the street into the water. now we have her running up the street. we are changing our focus a little bit. >> reporter: because of the video they have changed the direction of where they are looking not the intensity. from above and below people are doing all they can to find her. t volunteers, different rescue

crews and supplies keep coming as word spreads of her disappearance. >> this is so close to home and i can't sleep. i'm a mess. that little girl is important to me cht. >> reporter: she disappeared sunday afternoon. she is autistic and has the mental capacity of a 1 year old. officers are saying she could be hiding in an unusual spot. >> with her developmental disabilities we don't know what she is thinking. it is not like a normal person would think. we are asking citizens to check cars, outbuildings, any kind of crawl spaces or anything like that that this little girl may have had access to. >> i am not going to give up. i'm not giving up. >> can we still hear you?

unveiled a revised state spending plan. california will see a drop in revenue because of recent drops by the federal government. governor brown says the state will have a balanced budget this year. >> not a lot of money here. we have climbed out of a hole with a proposition 30 tax. that is good. this is not the time to break out the champagne. >> public schools will be the biggest winners. they will get an increase of $2.9 billion thanks to the proposition 98 guarantee. the cal works job training program will get an additional $48 million. america's cup officials are meeting about the investigation into the deadly sailing accident in san francisco bay last thursday. the boat capsized and killed an

hollywood super star angelina jolie. abc 7 news reporter is live in the news room with details. >> brad pitt has released a statement calling her decision absolutely heroic and says this is a happy day for our family. he is certainly not alone in his admiration. >> reporter: in her oped angelina jolie writes about her mommy and about the illness that took her away from us. jolie says she can say genetic testing showed she had a faulty gene and had an 87% chance of getting breast cancer and a 50% chance of ovarian cancer. she decided to have both breasts removed.

>> she chose to have preventive surgery to convey survival benefit. >> reporter: she had the first procedure on february 2 a few weeks before this walk down the red carpet at the oscars. three months of surgeries and treatments followed. she says we managed to find moments to laugh together. we knew this was the right thing to do for our family and it would bring us cloers. now she says the risk for developing breast cancer is down to 5%. the editor of people magazine says no doubt it will. >> this is a complete game changing. >> reporter: she says she feels empowered and like no less of a woman. >> celebrities have taken to twitter. tweets angelina jolie reveals double mastectomy.

investigators are trying to find out what caused an overnight fire. firefighters tweeted this picture of the fire at the silk day spa. crews responded around 2:00 this morning but were not able to save the building before the roof collapsed. both businesses were destroyed. investigators say the building might have been undrenovation. cal trans officials will face tough questions about the bolt failures on the new eastern span of the bay bridge. state senator is holding a committee hearing. yesterday federal officials agreed to look into the problem

of bolts cracking. cal trans requested a review toe open on labor day. the cost to taxpayers of building the bridge is already at $6.3 billion and climbing. u.s. attorney general ordered a justice department investigation into irs audits. says the fbi would also be involved with the criminal probe. abc news has obtained documents showing four irs officers were involved in targeting tea party groups. the irs originally said the audits were limited to its cincinnati branch. conservative groups have reported to intense questioning. the irs has apologized and says it has changed its procedures. melanie says her group was

a former football star who went on to play for the new orleans saints and san diego chargers has passed way. muncie died today of a heart attack. he was known for the youth foundation helping young people turn away from gangs. muncie was 60 years old. o.j. simpson is back in a courtroom for day two into the hearing for efforts to get a new trial. lawyers asked the judge to let him have one hand free so he could take notes and sip water. the judge agreed. the judge is looking into whether the trial lawyer had conflicts of interest. he is serving for the armed robbery of two sports

downtown 63 degrees if you are heading out. 64 in richmond. mid to upper 60s for belmont. 71 in santa clara. still warmer in the north bay and east bay valleys. let's talkt about what is going to happen. temperatures going to remain pretty much the same if not cooler than yesterday. oakland, free mont, san francisco and san jose, the closer to the areas with the clouds you are warmer today. beautiful look from south beach. let's talk about what will happen in this forecasted cycle. cooling trend wednesday, thursday and friday when we drop so dramatically. for today's temperatures we are going to go mid 70s to mid 80s from sunnyvale 76 to gilroy. everybody else low to mid 70s. near 60 along the coast. south san francisco. upper 70s and mid 80s with the low to mid 70s on the east bay
